Niet iedere ruimte in een huis is geschikt of groot genoeg om een moderne hoekbank te plaatsen of een mooie wandkast, dat geldt zeker voor de meeste zolderruimtes. Een oplossing voor niet alleen een grotere, maar ook een lichtere zolder is een dakkapel. De breedte van een dakkapel kan zelf worden bepaald, waardoor wel ruimte ontstaat voor die vel begeerde hoekbank of wandkast voor de slaapkamer. In de komende alinea’s wordt kort uitgelegd wat een dakkapel is, welke soorten dakkapellen er zijn en aan welke kosten gedacht moet worden.
Wat is een dakkapel?
Een dakkapel is een rechthoekig bouwwerk en wordt geplaatst op een schuin dak, dat doorgaans bestaat uit dakpannen, maar ook kan bestaan uit bijvoorbeeld zink. Beeld uzelf eens in, u heeft de hoekbank staan in de dakkapel, waardoor u op de warme zomeravonden geniet van de neergaande zon. Dakkapellen zorgen namelijk niet alleen voor ruimtewinst, ze verlichten ook de zolderruimte met natuurlijk licht.
Welke soorten dakkapellen zijn er?
De meeste dakkapellen worden prefab geplaatst, dan wordt de dakkapel geprefabriceerd in de fabriek en met een kraan op het dak geplaatst. De tegenhanger van een prefab dakkapel is een traditionele dakkapel, dan wordt de dakkapel ter plekke opgebouwd.
De bekendste en meest voorkomende dakkapel is de platdak dakkapel, zoals de naam doet vermoeden beschikt deze dakkapel over een platdak en dit type dakkapel kan niet als enige zonder vergunning worden neergezet op het dak, maar is ook nog minder duur dan andere soorten dakkapellen. Een sleepdakkapel is iets meer aan de prijs en kan worden beschouwd als de luxe versie van een platdak dakkapel, want een sleepdakkapel heeft geen platdak, maar een pannendak, dat overigens niet zorgt voor extra ruimtewinst.
Naast de platdak dakkapel en sleepdakkapel kan ook nog worden gekozen voor de verlegde nokdakkapel en nokverhoging, beiden zijn zij geschikt voor zolderruimtes die te laag zijn voor een normale dakkapel. Een complete ophoging van de zolderruimte kan worden bereikt met een nokverhoging, alleen een ophoging van de voor- of achtergel is te bereiken met een verlegde nokdakkapel.
Wat kost een dakkapel?
U kunt kiezen voor een wandkast van € 1000, maar ook voor een hoekbank van € 4000, deze grote prijsvariatie geldt ook voor dakkapellen. Een platdak dakkapel kost bij veel dakkapel specialisten per strekkende meter € 1200, dan is de dakkapel geplaatst en ook de btw is betaald. Een sleepdakkapel is normaal gesproken 30% duurder, voor een verlegde nokdakkapel moet 40% meer op tafel worden gelegd en een nokverhoging kost al snel 70% meer dan een platdak dakkapel. Kortom, net als bij interieur kunt u het zo duur maken als u zelf wilt.
